§ 01

Who we are and what this covers

These terms apply to quantumnotary.app, the notarization and verification service behind it, and any account you open on it. Notarization requires an account; verification and the independent verifier downloads are publicly accessible.

Quantum Notary is a product of Endurance Applications. Endurance Applications is the business name displayed at checkout.

§ 02

What the service does

You choose a file, and your browser computes its SHA-256 fingerprint on your device. The service signs and submits a public Base transaction carrying that fingerprint, and issues a receipt for it. We do not receive, read, or store the file itself.

A public digest is not encryption or automatic anonymization. Someone who can predict the source can hash guesses and compare them with the public fingerprint.

§ 03

What the service does not do

A digest anchor and service receipt do not check identity, witness a signature, establish authorship or ownership, prove that content is true, or perform a legal notarial act. A successful Base L2 receipt is not Ethereum L1 settlement monitoring.

Keep the exact source bytes and receipt because later comparison depends on both.

§ 04

Your account

Keep your password, session tokens, and private receipt links private. If a credential is compromised, contact [email protected] so we can revoke it.

§ 05

Acceptable use

The full policy is the Acceptable Use Policy.

§ 06

Fees, credits and refunds

Notarization credits are bought in packs and drawn down per anchored record. Payment is processed by Stripe; card details never reach us.

Credit packs are prepaid. There is no self-serve refund: write to [email protected] and we will decide the request and, if we agree, issue it through Stripe. When a refund or a card dispute reaches us, we withdraw credits from that purchase in proportion to the amount reversed, up to the number still unspent in the pool it was bought for. Credits you have already spent are not clawed back and your balance is never driven below zero; we record the shortfall instead. If a notarization fails before its Base transaction is broadcast, its credit is returned; where the evidence cannot establish that, the case is held for review rather than settled automatically. A refund does not withdraw an anchored record from Base — no mechanism exists by which we could withdraw one.

An ordinary account includes capacity for 10,000 records. Each optional $49 USD one-time expansion adds capacity for another 10,000 records. Repeat purchases stack; capacity has no monthly reset or scheduled expiry. Notarization credits are purchased separately, and a capacity expansion does not increase your notarization rate. Pending records and genuine chain failures count toward record usage. Historical archived records and requests refused before record reservation do not count.

To request a full capacity-expansion refund, write to [email protected]. We may approve a voluntary full refund only when current counted record usage fits within the remaining capacity after removing that exact expansion. This policy does not limit refunds required by applicable law. A full refund removes the expansion; partial, pending or unknown refunds and active card disputes suspend it for review. Existing records and otherwise authorized proof access are preserved. If usage exceeds the reduced capacity, you cannot add new records until you have sufficient capacity.

Existing orders remain subject to their original payment terms. We refund orders that definitively fail and reconcile any ambiguous order or potentially broadcast Base transaction before deciding whether a refund is due. A previously supplied optional recovery email may be shared with Stripe and used for receipt and refund notification delivery.

§ 07

Availability and the receipt URL

A successful notarization creates a lifetime record. Records have no scheduled expiry, and we retain their service proof records for the lifetime of Quantum Notary so they can be referenced years later. We do not support deletion of notarization records or their proof history. A refund, capacity reduction or account closure does not delete those records. Applicable personal-data rights remain as described in the Privacy Notice.

A fingerprint included in a public Base transaction cannot be removed by us or by you. Keep your exact original file and export your receipt and proof package for independent verification, including if Quantum Notary stops operating. Verification still requires suitable historical chain access.

This is a single service with no availability commitment attached to it. Planned maintenance is posted ahead of time where it is known in advance.

Previously issued private receipt URLs are unguessable bearer links and keep their recorded expiry. Links issued under the one-year access policy provide at least one year from finalization; earlier links retain their original access period. Save the receipt, proof PDF and exact original file. Expiry disables the link only. It does not delete associated records or affect the public Base transaction.

§ 08

Verification without us

A finalized Base record’s chain evidence can be checked without our API. This requires the retained source input, its processing rule, the receipt and suitable historical Base access. A signed acceptance receipt alone is not transaction-inclusion proof. The procedure is published at /verify-without-us.

§ 09

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you notarize. We own the service, site, and marks. You grant us only the rights needed to process requests and create and store records.

§ 10

Warranties and disclaimers

The service is provided as-is. We do not warrant that a proof will be accepted by any particular court, registry, or counterparty. Acceptance is always the evaluator's decision.

§ 11

Limitation of liability

Our liability is capped at fees paid in the prior twelve months, except where law says otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

§ 12

Suspension and termination

You can close your account any time. We can terminate for material breach with 14 days' notice. Closing an account does not remove an existing Base transaction. Later verification still requires retained input, the processing rule, the receipt, and suitable historical chain access.

§ 13

Changes to these terms

We provide reasonable notice of material changes to the email address on your account before they take effect. The date at the top of this document shows when it was last updated. We do not maintain a version archive.

§ 14

Disputes

Contact [email protected] about disputes.
